FAQ

Q: What is your photographic style?
A: I am primarily a photojournalistic wedding photographer, but every bride has certain portraits she wants, and which will naturally require some traditional arrangements. I try to make the formals more than just simple family photos, but one that still keep the photojournalistic emotional content. Just see my work and judge for yourself.

Q: OK, so I get a DVD of images, can I put these on facebook? Can I print them for my friends and family?
A: Yes! Your pictures are your pictures, so feel free to do anything you could call "personal use" with a straight face. I can only benefit from your friends and family enjoying my photography. I do sell prints online at reasonable prices for friends and family to take the hassle out of it.

Q: What do I need to do to reserve my wedding date?
A: I ask for a 50% non-refundable retainer and a signed contract to hold the date.

Q: When is the balance due?
A: 14 days prior to the wedding.

Q: Do you have a backup plan in case your camera/computer breaks?
A: Yes, I come to the wedding with plenty of cameras, lenses, memory, and battery. Once I get the images onto my computer, I make 2 sets of backups to keep your images safe, on-site, and online. If you ever lose the digital image DVDs, I will gladly send you replacements for as long as I have a copy.

Q: Do you travel?
A: Sure! I would love to come to your neck of the woods or some exotic location. I do not charge a travel fee for weddings located in Southern California.

Q: Do you prefer if the Bride and Groom see each other before the wedding?
A: Ask any photographer and you will hear a resounding YES for the simple fact that it gives us better light, more time, and more privacy for this one-in-a-lifetime moment. When I saw Masha for the first time on our wedding day, it was so romantic, because I got to talk to her, hug and kiss her, while allowing our photographer to get some great shots to remember it. However, it's really up to you.

Q: What kinds of albums can I get?
A: If you can describe it, I can order it! Leather Crasftmen is the album company I primarily use, and their staff pride themselves on making every album uniquely and to practically any specification. There are also lower-budget options available.

Q: When do I get my images?
A: Your images are ready for online viewing within 2 weeks of the Monday following your wedding. I aim to get a slideshow up on my blog within a few days of the wedding, so you can experience the photos close to the actual event as possible.

Q: How I do find out your availability and pricing details?
A: Please email me or call! Click the link at the top of this page or call the phone number listed to get in touch with me directly.

Q: Can I schedule a time to meet and discuss details?
A: Of course, I always prefer to meet a Bride in person given the weight of this decision. I'll bring some sample albums, and a pricing sheet, and you can ask me any question you like. Let's have coffee, I'll foot the bill!
